American Bank & Trust has upgraded our electronic bill payment product.   You’ll find a whole new look and feel, additional features/functions and a superior level of service.

What is my fee for using the Bill Pay product?

No Charge.

Will more payments be made electronically?

Yes.  With the upgraded product between 60-70% of all bill payments will be sent electronically.

When will my payments be processed?

Your payments will be processed on the ‘PROCESS’ date that you select.

When will my account be debited?

Your account will be debited on the ‘PROCESS’ date that you designate and remitted to your payee.

May I pay bills from multiple accounts?

Yes.

Will the upgraded Bill Pay product retain a history of payments processed?

Yes.  However, the history from the previous Bill Pay product will not transfer to the upgraded Bill Pay product. 

How long will it take for my payments to be received by the payees?

Electronic payments usually post within 48-72 hours.  Checks may take 5-10 business days depending on the state of destination.

Does the Bill Pay website contain any information to help me process my payments?

Yes.  Each Bill Pay function has a Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”) section to assist you in processing your payments.

What if my Browser is not compatible with the upgraded Bill Pay product?

The Bill Pay site has a prompt for you to run a browser compatibility check.  If issues are identified, step by step instructions are provided to assist you.  You may also call the customer support staff at 888-667-7635, Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 11:00 pm ET.

Will I need to make any changes to my Personal Computer (“PC”) Internet Settings?

If “Internet Options” require changes, the Bill Pay site will provide instructions during the compatibility check process.   You may also consider setting up the Bill Pay site as a “Trusted Site”.  For technical support, please contact the customer support staff at 888-667-7635, Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 11:00 pm ET.  

I have Pop-Up Blocker set up on my PC.  Will this service create any issues when processing my bill payments?

The Bill Pay application utilizes enhanced features and tools which call for a separate window to open. Disallowing pop-up windows to occur while using the Bill Pay application may keep certain features from functioning properly.  You may want to consider stopping Pop-Ups just for the Bill Pay site.

We are happy to announce that there is no fee for the BillPay-e Plus bill payment system.  If you were previously enrolled in the American Bank & Trust on-line bill pay service, we automatically set you up for BillPay-e Plus.  For your convenience, we have even set up all of your payees (this includes all payees established prior to June 12, 2008).  However, we do suggest that you take a moment to review it for accuracy the first time you log on to pay your bills.  We have also converted your specific bill pay instructions; therefore, there is no need to re-establish any one-time or recurring payments that were set up prior to June 12, 2008. 

American Bank & Trust will continue to support any ‘pre-upgrade’ payment issues.  Please call Bill Pay Support at 605-539-1222 or toll free at 866-539-0280.

To begin using BillPay-e Plus, please go to www.americanbanktrust.net, and login as usual to access your account information.  You will then click on the Bill Payment option to begin using the new system.  Any inquiries on payments will need to be directed to our iPay toll free number, 1-888-667-7635.  If you need any help with the system, simply call the toll free service number or go to our new ‘LiveChat’ feature, between the hours of 7:30 am ET to 11:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday.  An online user’s guide will also be available as a resource for any questions that you may have.  This guide will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
